Magic Tricks
This article is about doing magic tricks for fun or to impress your family or friend. If you follow the instructions you won’t have any trouble with these tricks, but if you dont it’ll get very complicated. With a coin you can do three magic tricks..
For the first trick, you will need some tape, a handkerchief, a piece of paper measuring 5 inches by 5 inches, and of course a coin. This trick is based on making the coin disappear
If you don’t have a coin on you, ask someone else if they can give you a coin to use for a few minutes. He first step is to take the pice of paper and show the audience both sides of it , so that they know that it has not benn tampered with in any way. Then, put the paper on the table with the coin in the center of it, when you’re done
For the next step, fold the paper in half, but leave an inch between the half that’s been folded and the top. You then fold the right side of the paper around the back to the halfway mark and fold the left side back over this half.
Fold half an inch of the very top of the paper downward so that it appears you created a packet. Now, to let the audience know that the coin is still there, hold the packet in front of them and let them touch it. Make one turn and slip the coin quickly out of the packet with your back to the audience Smoothly pick up the handkerchief and put the coin down at the same time, so that the audience doesn’t notice anything.
Then, give the person the handkerchief covered by the paper. For the last step, say any magic word that appeals to you and lift the handkerchirf to let the person open the packet and realize that the coin disappeared. When the audience is done clapping, you show them the coin and if you borrowed the coin, give it back.
The second trick is turning a dime into a quarter. For this trick you will need the tape mentioned earlier and 2 sets of coins.Make sure that the quarter is taped in your hand before you begin, so that you can make the switch.
If you dont have a dime ask someone for it. Once you get the dime, hold on to it tightly between your index finger and thumb, so that you will be able to slide the quarter behind the dime.
When you’re ready put the dime on the tape covered section of your hand.
Then drop the coin quickly into you right hand to make them think you only used one cion for the trick.
The last trick is called Bend the Coin. This trick requires a special kind of coin that can bend in a few places which can be purchased in the magic store. First you have to ask somebody to giv you can that is the same size of the bendable coin you are using and write you’re initials on it to make the audience believe that you didn’t switch it.
With the bendable coin in one hand you switch the coins and pretend that you’re trying really hard to bend the fake coin. After a few seconds they will realize that the coin was bent and you have to quickly switch the coins back, so that you’re holding the one with the initials on it.
Coins are great to use for a magic trick. With the right amount of practice you might be able to impress the person that you’re performing the trick for.
